Digital Signal Processing

The Laboratory for Digital Signal Processing is lead by prof. dr. Zdravko Kačič. In the laboratory, a team of researchers is engaged in research in the fields of signal processing, artificial intelligence, pattern classification, language processing, Internet of Things, machine learning, deep learning, and advanced human-machine interaction solutions. In the field of development of intelligent human-machine interaction systems, he is engaged in speech recognition and synthesis, processing, understanding and generation of natural speech, machine translation, development of spoken and written monolingual and multilingual language resources, and development of information and communication (ICT) services. As part of this, the group is working on developing audio/video enabling technology to provide natural and user-friendly interaction in modern communication environments, such as intelligent and supportive living environments, through intelligent context-driven communication services and in managing large amounts of information through audio/video processing technologies.  MORE
