CLARIN.SI is designed as the Slovenian national hub for language resources and technologies, covering the needs of different groups and projects, and above all ensures the internationally visible and standardized accessibility of resources and tools and the integration of the Slovenian language into CLARIN’s European infrastructure. To this end: The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science of UM will continue to develop publicly available resources for the repository of Slovene voice sources and ensure the purposeful use of its infrastructure and the accessibility and continuous availability of computing capacities by means of generally accepted access methods in an appropriate manner. DSPLab covers the following phases: preparation and approval of investment documentation; tendering, purchasing, supply and installation of DGX-1 supercomputer (2019), UPS equipment (2019), upgrade to existing DGX-1 supercomputer (2021), and maintenance of this research equipment (2019-2023). DSPLab will be the administrator of a high-performance GPU supercomputer with GPU vector coprocessor units that will allow consortium members to perform state-of-the-art and computational machine learning methods, as well as process large volumes of text in interactive mode to support development, experimental work. The equipment is at the core of supercomputing and data science knowledge, making it easier to synergistically connect experts. DGX-1 CLARIN provides research and development of machine learning methods and interactive use. DGX-1 is optimized for deep learning and has supercomputing capabilities to ensure highly parallel machine learning performance and the shortest possible time to generate a result.
