Andreja Bizjak has a master’s degree in Slovene literary language and stylistics and, as a member of the Laboratory for Digital Signal Processing, participates in the project Development of Slovene in the Digital Environment. In her diploma work, proposed for the Prešeren Award, she focused on the Slovenian publishing between state support and the market, and as part of her master’s degree at the University of Ljubljana, she researched the impact of professionalization of proofreading profession on Slovenian language culture. She presented the results of her research work at Slovenski slavistični kongres, Lektorsko društvo Slovenije and LUD Literatura, and at the Institute of Slavic Studies of the University of Vienna. She has published several professional papers. She is professionally involved in the fields of teaching Slovene as a foreign language, proofreading, public relations and digital marketing, project work and event organization. As a researcher, she is interested in corpus linguistics, language technologies, sociolinguistics, and media communications.
